Radical and Her Crush is the 7th chapter of Taamo's Taiyou no Ie.
Summary[]
Mao and Hiro receive a package from Daiki containing a super cute "Chanmoge" dvd for Mao and a cook book for Hiro. This shows to them that Daiki is thinking about coming over. Mao also thinks about that if Daiki and Hina came back, she would have to leave the place she loves.
At school, Oda confronts Mao about her conversation with her "mom". Oda still doesn't realize that Mao was talking about Hiro, so Mao tells Oda that all her feelings about her mom were actually feelings for the person she likes. Oda is happy that Mao got rejected though.
Mao leaves to meet with her friend Radical. Mao visits Radical's house and and they talk about Maa, a character from a historical novel Radical reads known as Date Masamune, but Mao mistakes Maa as the person Radical loves. Mao tells Radical that she is living with the person she likes. Radical also teaches Mao how to make cloth Sandals.
At home, Mao makes the cloth sandal and when she was going to show it to Hiro, she found out that Hiro also reads her novel. Hiro tells Mao that the author Sorami fits the image of a co-worker at his workplace. Mao gets shocked and confused, since Hiro was reading the Kanji of the author wrong, it is supposed to be 'Kuukai' not 'Sorami'.
At that time, Mao's father comes to give Hiro Mao's living expenses for this month, but Mao decides to not meet him.
After, Hiro returns asking about the cloth sandal Mao made to cheer her up because her father did not come to see her. Hiro tells Mao that she can stay at this house as long as she needs to.
Back at Radical's house, Mao trips on the box filled with Radical's expensive books and finds a picture of Hiro and Mao finds out that the person Radical likes is the same person she likes.
