Where We Must Go is the 37th chapter of the manga.

Summary

Daiki tells Mao he's saying it because he wants her to consider him as a love interest. Mao is then flustered and it is time for them to clean up. Daiki smacks her and tells her not to be upset about it. Hiro is worrying over how they are late and assures himself he was overthinking it. They come home and Daiki rubs into Hiro's face that he was concered since he came home with Mao. Mao tells Chihiro that Daiki liked her and she pretended to be surprised, her act was found out quickly. Chihiro tells her she acted terrible towards him. Mao then goes home to find her step mother there. She immediately knows something is wrong with her and tells her to go inside. Mao eats dinner then goes to sleep. The next day Mao is soon ready to go out and her step mother hugs her saying she wasn't used to this. Mao finds Hina at the shrine and asks her if she could go with her to the Nakamura house. Once they are there Hina said she was a bad liar and got there easily. She goes in the house and goes to her room. Daiki informs Hiro he confessed to her and even added she was taking it seriously. Hiro then snaps back and says keep his hands off Mao. Daiki then asks if that was how he felt. Hiro then says even though he loves her he has to protect the house.
