A Table for One is an extra chapter of the manga.

Summary[]

A story when Mao was younger. Hiro turns his back to see Mao in the rain. He then says, "What are you doing over there, tween?" Mao then gets angry and says not to call her that. Mao then says he looked lonely so she went to play with him. He then gets annoyed and says he was fine and going to work. Hiro then thinks Mao is always here on rainy days and his parents died on a rainy say. That was the fourth anniversary of his parent's death. He recalled that Daiki and Hina left and he was the onky one who stayed. He then thinks that next year he'll graduate and he can finally get a job. His aunt comes over for the anniversary along with Daiki. Daiki acts like a brat and Hiro recalls Daiki was calm but was a brat about anything to do with their parents. Hina said she didn't want to go back for their anniversary at all. His aunt remarks over how big the house is and how the table is a bit large. His aunt is then revealed to have sold the table and replaced it with a small two seat table. Mao then goes to Hiro at the shrine and asks if she can cheer him up since she saw he was crying. He denies it and Mao goes back to her home. Hiro then eats dinner at the new table and thinks of Mao stuffing her face, then laughing and saying the table was not bad at all.
