Summary[]
Hiro hugs Mao, and as they walk way back from the shrine, he feels self-conscious about holding Mao's hand. Mao tells Hiro that she will work to help with the living expenses, and help with the house chores. Hiro asks if she has done chores before, but Mao says she was never taught how to, which is why she is terrible at them. Hiro teaches Mao how to properly fold clothes.
When they eat breakfast that Mao made, Mao tells Hiro that she will be going to Chi-chan's house afterschool. Hiro also hands her a chore roster, which shows that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are Mao's days for chores. Hiro accidentally blurts out that it "kinda feels like I've gotten a wife that can't really do anything." Mao gets all flustered and yells at Hiro that he is disgusting to think of her, a highschooler, as a wife.
At work, Fujita asks Hiro and Sugimoto to go out to get drinks, but Fujita suddenly has to leave earlier, so Sugimoto and Hiro are alone together. Sugimoto is interested in the Warring States Themed Bar, so Hiro takes her in there. They have a conversation, where Hiro asks if she is still writing her novel, misunderstanding that she is the author of his favorite novel "House of the Sun".
Mao gets a text message from Radical saying that she is with the guy he likes when Mao is cooking cream puffs with Chi-chan. Chi tells Mao that even though it may be hard, she should tell Radical that they both like the same person. When Mao comes back home, she goes outside with Croquette to wait for Hiro. While she is waiting outside for Hiro, Daiki comes back home for the holidays. He asks her whether Mao likes Hiro, and Mao admits that she does.
